Visitors to the “Skyward!” exhibition at Bumbershoot will get to see, through the eyes of contemporary artists, what it might be like to one day live amongst the clouds.

Bumbershoot is proud to present a special tribute to the late Christopher Martin Hoff as part of this year’s visual arts exhibits.

NOW

The first image I drew of this idea.  Was thinking about loss, memory and nostalgia balanced by my hopes, dreams and expectations for a brighter future.  It’s the relationship between this rainbow and its reflection that captures the totality of time in one image.  The empty center is the present.  It is now.  An indescribable experience since we are in it and it’s only knowable by our visions of the the future and the slippages of the past.  It’s in this present that we can choose, move, do something or nothing that sends endless reverberations into our circular relationship with time.
