Before Flavor Flav achieved infamy on reality television, he was already a superstar as the hype man for Public Enemy. The group performed at Bumbershoot ‘04 as a part of Hip-Hop 101 with Nas, Massive Monkeys, and Byrdie. 2004 was a big year for the group - that April, Public Enemy was ranked #44 on Rolling Stone's “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.”

Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have been going strong as a duo since they first began performing together as the Indigo Girls in 1985. To celebrate their success, they just released Staring Down the Brilliant Dream, a two-disc compilation of their best live performances from 2006 to 2009.

As you can see in this picture, Teller served as the butt of most of Penn’s jokes in between their illusions. Since they played at the Festival, they have taken their special blend of humor and shock value on several national tours, and currently perform 6 nights a week in Las Vegas at the Rio.

The group has now been performing for more than a decade, and their songs have been featured in everything from television shows to video games - they even recorded the official theme song for Major League Soccer’s L.A. Galaxy.

A Tribe Called Quest packed Memorial Stadium when they played Bumbershoot’s Mainstage in 2006. The set was a part of the group’s first tour since they split up in 1998. Since then, they have been touring all over the world, and are planning to release a documentary about their history in 2011.
