At Bumbershoot, we do our best to accommodate every music fan. Every year, American Sign Language interpreters will be signing at select shows. They do a tremendous job as evidenced by the video above from the Black Eyed Peas’ performance of “My Humps” at Bumbershoot 2009.
American Sign Language interpreters will be on hand at the following shows during this year’s Festival:
SATURDAY:
Neko Case, at the Mainstage from 7:15 - 8:30pm
Bob Dylan, at the Mainstage from 9:00 - 10:30pm
MONDAY:
Brian Vogan, at the Northwest Court Stage from 1:00 - 2:00pm
Chris Pureka, at the Northwest Court Stage from 2:45 - 3:45pm
Bring the Rock with Greg Behrendt, at Comedy Stage South from 6:15 - 7:15pm
Patton Oswalt & Friends, at Comedy Stage South from 8:00 - 9:00pm
The Black Eyed Peas played Bumbershoot most recently in 2009, but they also owned the stage pre-Fergie in 1999. This year marks the group’s fifteenth year of making music, but Will.I.Am can still bust a move with the best of them.
Were you at the Black Eyed Peas show in 1999? In 2009? Please share your memories with us. Tweet your favorite #Bumbermemory and you could win an official Bumbershoot poster and even a pair of Standard Tickets to each day of Bumbershoot.
